hello I’m Amy
My love for yoga began in my early twenties when I was living in the Northern Quarter, Manchester, studying for a BA(Hons) in Advertising & Brand Management. Yoga has always been my go-to exercise. I wasn’t the most flexible or athletic type but that didn’t matter. After class, I always sensed an inner strength wash over me, yet felt much calmer and ‘together’ it helped me in so many ways.
I’d been practising on and off for almost 14 years when I finally decided to take the plunge and train to become a prenatal & postnatal yoga teacher.
I first discovered hypnobirthing when my mum trained to become a KG hypnobirthing teacher back in 2014. I found it fascinating. I then fell pregnant with my son in 2017 and had the absolute pleasure of learning all the principles and tools first hand from my mother, a midwife with over 35 years of experience.
After experiencing the techniques and tools first-hand, I went on to study, and became a qualified hypnobirthing teacher, but I like to call myself a Positive Birth Coach.
I have now had the experience of using them for both my children’s births, and I truly believe that tying these two disciplines together was the perfect harmony. It made a real difference to my journey into motherhood, something I’m forever grateful for.
After becoming a mummy in 2017, the sparkle in my eyes, the fire in my belly, the passion in my voice was finally born, let me introduce you to Lunar Wellbeing.
